Clean and usually pretty dead, so it's easy to get in and out of. They have a Starbucks and a little shop to buy sandwiches and drinks, but, that's it. Just a reflection of how sad Memphis is. No music, no restaurants. Just hope you don't have to spend more than 30 min to an hr at this place.
This airport deserves no stars. Upon trying to pay my parking fee the machine ate my credit card and the button to release it did not work. I had to get out of my vehicle and walk to a near by building because no one was in the cash booths. It took me 10 minutes to find someone. Once I did the woman was very rude, and told me this happens all the time. That people's cards getting stuck in the machine is a normal occurrence. Once they got the machine opened I had to back up and go to a different machine. Any passenger especially those that have been traveling for many hours should have to experience this.
What a great place (for an airport)! As others have said, getting out is so easy following domestic flight and into a cab took minutes (even allowing for baggage reclaim). We were at our hotel in downtown twenty minutes after touching down. I have never been to a cleaner airport, the whole place was immaculate. Our local airport Leeds Bradford could learn some lessons here from Memphis airport. The flight out of Memphis was on time and it was very easy to clear security and find our gate. Wish all airports could be like this one! Only negative was cost of shop - $9 including tax for two bottles of mineral water.
Just experienced the worst service over Thanksgiving weekend. I had an american flight from Memphis connecting at charlotte to Philadelphia. My bag was valet checked and was not taken to my connecting flight. The announcement said bag would be on the the connecting flight. I arrived to Philadelphia to the disappointment of finding out my belongings are lost/Stolen. Very poor customer service

TSA is quick, the restrooms are clean. The concourses lack food choices and they close at 5. Concourse A restaurant was out of chic wings and after the long walk to concourse C...the rib place was closed and Moes was out of chicken..oh and the Starbucks kiosk can't take the app, but b4 I could choose to pay the 2 servers broke out into karaoke....all of this bcuz my flight is delayed 3 hours...smh
