I loved this place! I went on recommendation from the desk clerk at the hotel I was staying at. Upscale with options that will not break you wallet. The menu is set up a little differently than most restaurants in that they offer "flights" of food courses in addition to fights of wines and desserts. You can order an entree or a smaller version which is about a third portion. All flights are set up in threes and you can select from different flights. Very unique setup. I had the Sea Bass and Shrimp Risotto with a flight (and then glass) of Chardonnay. The meal was excellent and I highly recommend it! Flight will be on my list on my next trip to Memphis.
Regretting the fact that we cancelled reservations at Follys to come to Flight instead.
This place may be a little pricey but if you can afford it then book your next meal vacation with them. You will not regret it. Your mouth will be on a food journey you will not forget!!
Watched the manager read my review as I was exiting the restaurant. Considering we decided to go here on good reviews I’m shocked I have yet to hear any feedback or reply here....
Breathtakingly Beautiful Food!!
I had heard so much about Flight that I just had to try it. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I think the food is good quality, but pretty uninteresting. The only memorable parts of my meal were an amazing autumnal salad and the chocolate lava cake (and only because I'd been wanting lava cake for months, not because it was necessarily great). Our service was excellent and I appreciate the complimentary valet in the busy downtown area, but I think there are better places to eat in Memphis.
The concept of Flight is courses served in threes. So instead of one large starter, main course, dessert etc. You can choose 3 smaller options. The good was extremely well presented and tasted amazing. The service and staff was second to none and I would recommend this place to anyone. An experience worth trying.
While i wouldn’t have minded the wait... we sat at the bar while a girl argued with her boyfriend (or whoever he was) ... while she was someone with a regular and got a complimentary glass of wine.. we still waited well after our reservation next to that drama... while the attendants catered to that... to make things worse... had to flag other servers to fill our water glasses during dinner on more than one occasion... while the food was good... service was awful... awful.
Service was great! Food was even Better!!! A must go to if you are in Memphis!!
