I've never been so ignored in my life. I can't believe how unprofessional this school is. Just rude.
I have attended several community colleges in several different states. I must say this college has the absolute worst Advising department. First, you will not have the same adviser the following semester because they are no longer working there. Which is disappointing because you feel comfortable with someone and then you have to start over with someone new. Since my original adviser left, I have not found one that I am comfortable with or that is helpful. When I contact my adviser about registration questions I am told that I was not advised by them to take that course. Well, sometimes things change and you should be able to answer my question on why I cannot register for the class. Also, there is usually only on adviser working when registration starts. I should be able to register myself online without having to go speak to someone every semester and without a pin number. It's ridiculous, a waste of time, and the first time I have ever had to deal with that. I have had to contact the school each semester to have my out of state tuition charges taken off. If someone registers the first week registration comes up, then I should not have to pay for my classes weeks before the other people decide to register. Everyone should pay at the same time. Everyone that works in the Financial Aide, Cashier office, or any department you need to speak to to help you is unprofessional. Apparently you are bothering them while they are being paid to help you aka their job. My tuition does make your paycheck. I would appreciate a smile, or encouragement for paying to attend your school. if I take the summer off, I should not have to repay and application fee since it was the summer off. I was on a payment plan and after being paying the payment plan was advised that I still owed the full amount for the semester. The campus itself really needs some TLC. In the Ferris building restrooms the toilets get stuck and overflow. In the MAC building restrooms people write on the walls and the doors in the stalls. In the Whitehead building I walked in on a professor in a restroom stall because the lock does not work. There is constant trash, and food all through out the parking lots. There are several lights on campus that do not work outside. It's disappointing for a college I pay money to to be so neglected.
Great school my son attend. Flexible schedule
Great school, I personally go here, they have excellent staff and a very clean school. Recommend to anyone needing an education. Everyone including students are friendly and helpful.
The advising staff we have dealt with so far, most especially Ms. Mea , have been awesome, engaged with my student and truly interested that she get the best classes, best professors and best schedule to meet her school and work needs. Other than the lines are often long (some students procrastinate!) it's been a pleasure to go to the adviser!
