Be sure and call ahead. It's often backed up all day! ENJOY!! There steaks and Chicken salad with hot bacon honey mustard is amazing. Also try the cheese bread ;)
Really good food (I had the French dip sandwich and house salad); friendly, quick waitstaff; and nice decor and lighting. I really enjoyed Houston's.
Houston's is AWESOME! One of the rare things that's good about Memphis. It's been here for as long as I can remember and is always a treat. I love just going in for lunch or dinner and relaxing with great food, friends and an amazing staff both front and back.
Highly recommend and also recommend a reservation.
You just can't go wrong here. It's always busy and it's so rare to find something that just doesn't go out of style. Young and old can enjoy this and it'll be around a while longer I'm sure.
We had Shana tonight as a server and she was great.
My girlfriend got a steak she wasn't happy with one time and within 10 minutes she had a new one that was perfect.
Went to visit with out of town friends.joined them after they had signed in. When we were called they set us at a table that was for "up to a party of four" because they didn't know I was coming. Waitress stated that she had to get manager because they were only allowed to have four at table. We told her we didn't mind being a little tight. When management came we were told it was OK that I visited with them but only after I told her I wouldn't order anything. And I was never asked if I wanted so much as an appetizer.
The service was truly the only thing that stoodout here. I had the 42 dollar filet ; for that amount I was expecting a explosion of flavor along with a tender cut of beef. My steak was indeed tender but that's about it. I believe you are paying for the service and atmosphere . I can't speak on the rest of food so I guess proceed with caution if u have high expectations on that part. The reason for the 4 stars is because overall the experience was pleasant and the service was truly great.
Never have had a bad experience here, the best stakes in Memphis.. everything you get it top quality and great.
