I attend the University of Memphis and have stopped by many times to work on homework, etc. It has an excellent and comforting atmosphere, and the staff are ALWAYS extremely kind and friendly. I have noticed the drinks lose just a little of their deliciousness/quality when you order them "To Go". (Not a big deal just a small observation-perhaps the "piece de resistance" is the glass coffee cup, saucer, and spoon that really puts the flavor over the top.) ;) Only real downside is they close a little early during the week (4pm), but otherwise it's a wonderful place to stop, relax, and enjoy an excellent cup of Illy coffee!!
I can only assume that the owners are fine with not keeping customers. I have tried five times to go here for lunch or to meet someone and the parking was so scarce I had to go somewhere else. Also, the past few times I actually made it in the first item I wanted wasn’t available. I’m done. I won’t try anymore. I really want to support local businesses, but this is too inconvenient. Perhaps they should lease some parking spots from St. Luke’s and keep an updated menu.
Service was extraordinary!!! I ordered the bay of pigs, it came out very fast and was delicious. I will definitely visit this place again!
Great food and coffee but I came here to work and I ultimately had to leave because I was getting less than 1mbps wifi. Guys, it's 2017 and this is a coffee shop next to a college campus. It's soooo cheap and easy to get decent wifi set up to accommodate a small room of laptop users. Call somebody; get some decent hardware; and then advertise that you have great wifi. profit!
Nachos were awful. Running out if supplies. The grilled cheeses were the most bland I've ever tasted. It's real smoky in here and they need to fix that.
