The staff regularly host events and themed parties at the house, like the Speakeasy in April and Haunted Happenings near Halloween, as well as various other events throughout the year.

A beautifully restored Victorian mansion from the 1870's.

Lastly, the house is available for weddings and rentals, and is home to a few other-worldly residents, whom you can meet on a ghost tour!

The house museum is decorated with furniture from relevant timeframes and features many interesting artifacts, including a few that belonged to well-known historical figures.

We had our wedding here and absolutely loved it! Jennifer is fabulous, I coordinate weddings and was amazed at their prices and sweet staff that made our day so special.

The Woodruff-Fontaine House is a fascinating testament to Memphis history! The staff there is incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the house and the impact of the Woodruff's and the Fontaine's on the development of Memphis, as well the details of day-to-day life in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Really enjoyed their open house this week. The first Friday of the month, they have a free open house to the public that I believe runs from 5pm to 8pm. This month, they have beautiful Christmas decorations put up throughout the mansion. It looked absolutely beautiful! I would recommend making a visit!

Gorgeous! One can go on a self guided or group tour. Currently the theme is about "Mourning" perhaps it is because we are near Halloween, or just a learning experience. Therefore the house is having a "Victorian Funeral", teaching the customs of that Victorian Era of how a widow would & family would respond when their is a death to a family member. From family customs to social customs to morning fashion. It was not grimm, but very educational. The details in the home, from the architect to the interior decor to the grounds, all are stunning. If you love this era, and enjoy historical sites, this is a must see. Give yourself 2-2.5 hours to enjoy. Then grab the walking tour guide for the neighborhood of beautiful homes, or drive it as well. This would be boring for children under the age if 10, & great even if you were a party if one, like me. Hope this helps,
