In the summer there is a large metal water tank that the town puts out for your pets to take a dip in. This is a great little hideaway that you should check out.
Staff is always friendly . The facility is always clean . Animals taken well care of.
It looks like it would be nice, but unfortunately I did not get a chance to let my little dog run off leash. I drove a distance since Overton Bark does not currently have a small dog section due to storm damage. I arrived and in the "small dog" section there were some large dogs. I walked in and the people told me that this was only for shelter dogs. After clarifying that this is a public park and they were just supposed to keep the shelter dogs separate from public dogs, I left. I have a very small dog that doesn't do well rolled around by big dogs in the "all dogs" section. It was very frustrating to drive all the way out there to just to encounter yet another time where my little dog can't run off leash. I am all for shelter dogs getting free play, but on a Saturday when it's likely busier they shouldn't take a whole side.
Gret fully fenced dog park, there is a large area and a small area. It is open from sunrise to sunset every day and usually has a steady flow of usage. There is a covered pavilion for when it rains and the town recently added a picnic table. The lawn is always maintained and their are trash cans, poop bags and 3 benches to sit on.
Mostly always quiet. Has lightly wooded area for dogs to play
We bring Duke all the way from Cordova. I really appreciate the fenced in area. It is well maintained. The only item that would make it perfect is to have a source of water for the dogs to drink, us too! Again thanks, it is worth the drive!!!!
