However, the staff there is clueless. If you ask how a certain fee works, or how to sign up for or cancel training or anything like that you will get a different answer from each person.
Former employee. I worked there for 1 year and I enjoyed every moment of it, until new regional manager came to the MEMPHIS MARKET. He's very untrustworthy and uses passive aggressive tactics to get through to staff. The new manager who was sent to run our gym barely said 5 words to me during my time there. They never made me feel like i was apart of the team. I was the overnight front desk employee. I never called in or missed a day. Management decided to change our gym hours from 24hrs to closing at midnight. They failed to give me a heads up and i was the last person to know. My final day was June 9th 2017 and my manager called me at 1pm later that day to break the news to me without any notice. Doing business in this manner will not help make an establishment last very long. YouFit Health Clubs is arguably the worst gym in the Memphis area due to lack of equipment, poor trainers, and most importantly terrible management that fail at having proper people skills. I will never encourage anyone I know to join YOUFIT HEALTHCLUBS CORDOVA.
I also went to this meeting and wanted to put my training on hold for the time being. I was led to believe that would mean that I wouldn't be responsible for any charged while it was on hold and I could pick up my training and resume paying when it was taken off hold.
I have been a member for over a year. Have been very pleased with the gym in general. The only thing that concerns me now is that they have a new cleaning company who brings the cleaning products in for them to use. The mops that they are now using are leaving blue fibers all over the floor. That wouldn't bother me except when they dry out the fibers float in the air. This means we are breathing them in when we exercise. I have spoken to the people in charge and they agree it is the mops. However they don't seem to think that anything can be done about the problem of the fibers in the air. I am sure the new cleaning product company is cheaper to use than the old one because the mops they send are certainly cheap. I don't want to have to change where I workout but I also don't want to keep breathing in the mop fibers either.

So far, the staff being clueless about how processes work and how to do their jobs has cost me $400 and there may be more to come.
First, hold doesn't mean that at all. It apparently means that they don't draft your account but you are still responsible for it next month. Secondly, when I talked to another manager to see why I had been charged when my account was on hold, she said that the first manager "didn't handle it correctly" and that even though we asked for the appointment in May, actually had the appointment in the beginning of June (more than 30 days before my July charge) because the person didn't handle it correctly I will still be responsible for July and if I don't pay July and cancel soon I will also be responsible for August.
The earliest appointment he could get was for more than 3 WEEKS LATER!! So he had to pay for another month after making an appointment to cancel! So with the 3 weeks before canceling and the several "come back tomorrow" instances 30 days before it is actually cancelled it was 9 WEEKS from the time he decided to cancel until he was actually cancelled. (I am just assuming that it is actually cancelled since we were charged this last cycle I am assuming we won't be charge in July)
The gym itself is very nice, clean and has plenty of equipment and machines. I have been a member of a different gym with the same business model before (low monthly fee but plenty of other fees here and there) so no surprise there, I went with it because it is still cheaper than the expensive gyms.
Best Gym in the world. Great hours and equipment. I can only speak on the equipment and cleanliness of the gym though. Never had a trainer but from the outside looking in they seem pretty adequate as well. Only downside is you cant bring in ANY outside equipment. I usually do certain workouts with chains for the extra weight - they made me take it off. Cant bring a jump rope in or nothing. Other than that its a cool gym
After several times of being told to "come in tomorrow" because the person wasn't in that day, he finally tried to make an appointment with the manager.
I am tired of paying for incompetence.
My husband had been working with a trainer and wanted to cancel his training. We knew that you had to have 30 days notice to cancel. He asked at the front desk if he could cancel and was told to talk to his trainer. The trainer told him that anyone at the front desk should be able to help him. he talked to someone else at the front desk who said he needed to talk to a manager and to come in tomorrow to talk to her.
