I've tried recieving assistance 2x and both times I was told at the last minute I couldn't be assisted. With utility assistance I had all paperwork except my social security card that I had to reapply for and brought back. That's when I was told that because my utilities had been disconnected I couldn't be helped but there was a young lady sitting next to me who's utilities were also disconnected and was told to bring back paperwork and they would process her application. Then with rental assistance it took me from the 1st of Dec until the middle of Jan to call and finally get through to make an appointment. At that time I was told the lady I had appointment would call me with the information I needed to bring with me. Since I hadn't heard from I decided to give her a call in which I was then notified that I couldn't be assisted because I had reached the time limit in which I was unemployed. Well how was I to know that when calling from 8am until around 11:30 am the line is busy and they stop taking calls. So yes I reached that time being I've been calling for a month and a half. It would also help if the information is provided on the website.
