What a HORRIBLENESS experience! I don't even write reviews and felt obligated to share this in hopes of deterring anyone else from wasting their time. We waited 45 minutes for a simple, overpriced bowl of spaghetti. There's sitting room for maybe 10 people in the place, with amenities that haven't been updated in 50 years. A trashy looking smoke shop can be seen through the see-through wall, and the workers are jerks. They were completely unapologetic about the wait, even as they skipped over us for later customers and sent countless to-go orders out the door. Oh, and free delivery if you're in their radius.
If you like true NY style pizza this is it in the Memphis area. I've had Russo's in Collierville and they're good, this place is better.. Not too much garlic or anything.
The very worst part of this place is that it's about 40 minutes away from my house and I rarely have a reason to be down that way.
We wanted a nice hot meal before running the St. Jude Marthon. We called our order in and picked our food up at the time indicated. When we got home the pizza want cold, really cold. Our pasta was missing the meatballs too. So we called the restaurant so we could go back the up to the store to pickup them up. Once we explained our issue, the person on the other end of the phone hung up on me. It was not a good meal before running 26.2 miles. Very disappointing services.
Best Italian in town. Smells like I walked into my aunts kitchen in New York. Best secret in Memphis. The owner is very friendly and sweet. Don't miss out. You'll be glad you found it.
This place is small and doesn't look like much but it is exactly what I hoped for. The pizza was perfect. Crust was so good my son, who doesn't eat crust, ate his crust. Only problem I had was we ran out of pizza too quick. Not because they're small, because my boys are eating more than they used to and I only ordered on pizza. So, we ordered the pinwheels. They looked a little different, even looked a little over done when we got them, but they were extremely good as well. The people working there were very nice and friendly and patient enough even with my loud kids late in the evening.
My favorite pizza place ever! During my daughter's 2 year stay at st judes she was so sick that when she asked for pizza (and it's still her favorite food) she got it. We eventually got sick of pizza but by chance we ran across the gem and fell in love. It is the only place that we can tolerate after eating so much pizza. The pizza is my favorite and we can't wait for our next trip to Memphis so we can have little Italy again.
