This was a huge disappointment. We drove 3 hours to see the lights. Myself, my wife, and our 4 kids sat in line to get to the lights for an hour and a half, paid $20 and the lights were pitiful. The petting zoo and camel ride was the only fun part. Our kids really enjoyed that. The lights in Batesville Arkansas are done by the city, they cost nothing to see, and they are 100 times better. I hate to be the one to say something negative but we wasted an entire day going to see these lights and were very disappointed. We will not be back.
Wide Open Spaces. Exactly Very Close to Nature. Small Ponds and the grass are nice place to sit and relax. Now the best time to visit is in the night when all the trees are shining with lights on and just driving thru them is really awesome experience. Good place for picnics
Renovation is going on... the room I stayed in was nice. It was a renovated room. I arrived at 1230am. Went to my room and wanted to just lay down. Pulled the sheets back and it smelled so bad. I had to ask them to change all the bedding. They did, but the thought of sleeping in a bed someone else slept in with that much smell and to not have changed anything,made me think how clean this place is. But there is a staff member for breakfast that I absolutely love. So I gave 2 stars.
My initial thought was that it was pricey for entrance to a farm. I couldn't have been more impressed however by how much there was to do for kids of all ages. We have a toddler and also a 7 year old and they had a great time until closing. We will definitely be back!
A nice get-away from the rest of Memphis. Shelby Farms is really one of the few things Memphis is good for. Walk, run or bike the paved or dirt trails by the Wolf River or through the winding paths through wooded areas. I recommend taking a Kayak or canoe out on Patriot lake!
