I didn't realize there were several fitness stations set up in the park. A great place for a great workout with a great view and no membership required. There were lots of families with young children.
Great for Families, Couples and Singles. Nice that back for jogging, walking and biking. Absolutely Beautiful view of the mighty Mississippi River, the Pyramid shaped Bass Pro Shops and a partial view of the city skyline. Purchase a Riverboat Cruise. Sit and Socialize at the indoor/outdoor Bar while listening to occasional live Music. Take a walk across the top of the Building via a grassy knoll. Watch the children play in the lovely Children's Area (complete with sprinklers). Or just sit in a red rocking chair and take it all in.
Great view of the Mississippi River from this Park in Memphis. It's also the site of the World Championship Barbeque Coming Contest during the Memphis in May festivities. Visitors to this event can buy tickets to see the elaborate booths of the contest events and taste barbeque from vendors with additional purchase or ticket packages. Well worth the visit when in Memphis.
A beautiful park with a walking trail along the Mississippi river and a few seating areas including tables. A few garbage cans make it a great place for picnics. Lovely views and a decent sized parking area.
This area doesn't have quite as much shade as Mud Island, but the view of downtown from the river is great. A bridge across the Mississippi is nearby and another to Mud Island is available for a fee. There's always river traffic to watch and a circuit workout available for the active. Free parking is available and it's a quick escape from the city.
