Technician was informative and did a great job.
When I first got my Champion Windows I was very happy and sang their praises. Then we started having problems. We have had the seal to mess up with quite a few of them. Even though they are guaranteed, you still have to pay the service call fee which is around $100. And now when you need a window replaced, it takes over three months to get it. Needless to say, I am no longer singing their praises.
We recently had our 7th Champion window installed. Slowly but surely we are replacing all the windows in our house. They have been great in so many ways such as helping to keep those rooms cooler or hotter depending on the season, easy to clean and look so much better than our old windows. I would definitely recommend these windows!
It began when I took off work to have the windows installed on an agreed date, but no one showed. The installer tried to compensate by scheduling it for the next day, but I couldn't afford to take off again. So, we ended up scheduling it on a weekend.
Me and my husband applied with champion to get some brand new windows. Well we've got approved and decided to go ahead and let them put the windows in and my appointment was on June 30th. I was so excited to receive my new windows that I begged my husband for .The day of the 30th went by and no one showed up or called so I was very disappointed. When I did call I talk to the person that answer the phone , first they were so nonchalant telling me that the contractors was so backed up one excuse after another telling me they can reschedule the appointment for me for another week. I said no I paid over $7,500 for my windows to get put in and that's what I want so I asked to speak to the supervisor and they did transfer me to speak to her , she turned out to be a nice lady. It calm me down a lot and got me set for the next day which I was very happy for 9:30 in the morning. Well 9:30 came of course no one shows up I waited and waited then I called around 3:34 asked to speak to the supervisor. She said I am standing here right now with the contractor he is on the way to your house right now he stopped by the office to get the paperwork. okay they came by on a Friday late did the front and the side of the house couldn't do the two big major windows it was Getting late they have done what they could so. He said. They will come back Saturday which is the 3rd of July. I said sure y'all can come back in the morning early in the morning to get it done. need I say they didn't get there to that afternoon again did what they could said will be back Tuesday which is the fifth today have not heard from anyone and I don't feel like I have to call and hunt down someone to do a job that was promised to be done and they already have my money. I am very disappointed in the service that I have gotten from champion
The whole experience has been hit or miss, so I'll let you decide. Poor customer service from the office staff, but GREAT work from the installer!
The quality of the windows and the installation has been great, but the customer service has been horrible. I should have gone with my first choice, Sears, but I wanted to give this local company a try since their presentation of the windows was great. However, the front office staff is unprofessional, unpleasant, and ill-informed at BEST. I paid a third down, had windows installed, and was suppose to make a final payment for the remaining 2/3 of the bill. I drove to the office to make a credit card payment on a Saturday, but the lady stated they did not have a credit card machine but she could enter it in the computer. Protected of confidential information, I told her that I didn't feel comfortable with that method, and I would consider an alternate way to make payment. I left.
You decide what's important: 1) great customer service before, during, and after 2) or quality of product/service, 3) OR BOTH?
I've never had such an experience with Sears, and customer service is important. I wish Champion's office staff had behaved this way BEFORE I agreed to let them do the work. It's like having a great doctor, but the front receptionist has no tact and has a horrible attitude. Do you stay for the expertise that the doctor provide or do you put up with the awful interaction of the front office?

Two days later, I began to get harassing phone calls from Monique about sending my account to collections unless I brought a check to the office by the close of business. I informed her that I had come on last Saturday, and could return next Saturday to make the final payment. She became irate and wanted to dictate the conversation with threats of collections, court fees and garnishments. I informed her again that I could return Saturday, and either she would accept the payment then or refuse it. She continued to talk over me with personal fibs such as "if you wanted to make a payment, you would have done" this or that. At that point, I hung up, but she continued to call and leave harassing messages immediately after that.
