I certainly wouldn't describe my experience as ideal. I had to put my chihuahua to sleep last weekend. When I pulled into the parking lot, there was only one other car there. After getting to a room, I waited a good 10-15 minutes before I was seen. The vet could not have been nicer and I have nothing negative at all to say about the care that she gave myself or my dog. However, there were no tissues to be found (really?!? at an animal emergency clinic?!) and the receptionist had to go to the back to find some. there should be tissues in every room. I had to use a paper towel. The after paperwork they ask you to sign says you will contact Dixie Memorial (the cremation services) when in fact they contact Dixie. Why should I sign paperwork to the contrary? I was told to contact Dixie on Monday morning (this was Friday night). I called on Sunday hoping to get an answering service to ask questions about my dog. The woman that answered the phone said that Dixie was open 24-7, and wasn't sure why I was told to wait until Monday to call about his arrangements. Overall, I would not go back to this clinic. I'm not sure why it took so long and for a brand new facility, i would think they would be better stocked. Again, I have nothing negative to say about the care my pet received and would recommend her in another circumstance (sorry, I do not remember her name). However, they need to take time to look at the small details. It makes all the difference in the world.
Great communication. Excellent care. Very efficient, professional and caring. This is a good place
Nope. My dog ingested a toxic object and upon arriving it took me 40 minutes to be seen. Technicians were chatting and typing on their phones when I popped in to see how much longer it would take to be seen. Short staffed maybe?
I would definitely suggest taking your animal to this clinic over any of the other after hours clinic's in Memphis! The receptionist was extremely helpful and nice, and The veterinarian that saw my dog was genuinely concerned about his health, rather than taking my money. She could've easily convinced me that he needed expensive x-rays on his stomach, but thought it was unnecessary and didn't want me to have to spend hundreds of dollars to do so. It's very rare to find such an honest, caring doctor, who gains more out of helping animals, than filling up their bank account. We'll definitely be back!
Everything about this experience was good. All the employees were kind and genuinely concerned about my sick cat. The doctor was completely professional and explained things in detail. I had complete confidence that my cat was getting the best care possible. This is such a comfort in the middle of the night in an unexpected crisis.
