Beginner. Tommy helped me at Bikes Plus. Said they are geared for beginners. Had read a lot online about bikes, too much, as it was a lot to swallow. Tommy made it simple. Let me test ride a couple of bikes and sure, he had opinions of what he thought on the bikes, but in the end, he did not try to steer me to one or the other. Picked out reasonably-priced accessories, even telling me that I did not need padded pants just yet or fancy pedals. So no-selling. Great shop
Fantastic! Super quick service! Super quick fix. Didn't even charge me! If I could give 10/5 stars I would!
EVERYONE OVER FORTY STAY AWAY. If you're a super physically-fit young male, you'll receive great service at this place. Otherwise, the owner of this store is an extremely rude, condescending jerk to anyone who doesn't have his level of bicycle knowledge. Case in point: I purchased a bike from him and came back explaining that, after riding it twice, the seat had become too low; he then showed me how to raise the seat, although he neglected to explain that I needed to check specific screws in the process (I guess this was just something anyone with mechanical and bike knowledge would know). When I came back again - this time when he was chatting with some pals on the front steps of the store and clearly not in the mood to talk to me - I explained that the seat kept lowering every sixty seconds after I raised it. This prompted him to roll his eyes before informing me - in a highly annoyed tone - "of course not, this screw is too loose." After I asked him three times what SPECIFICALLY he was doing, he very tensely explained that I needed to tighten a screw after releasing a piece of metal to raise or lower the seat. Of course, this whole interaction could have been avoided if he had thought to explain this to me in the first place - but gee - I guess I should have known. For what it's worth, I would not waste my time or money at this bike shop.
I got the perfect bike from here two years ago and still work perfectly and looks new. It is a single speed, very smooth ride and beautiful design. I recommend this place to all my friends. They were nice and they hold the bike for me until i got the cash because i was not expecting to find a good bike with a reasonable price.
My wife and I have bought two bikes from All About Bikes and have had a great experience every time. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I like that they are a family owned business and pet friendly. My wife and I couldn't be happier with our bikes and our service at this shop.
