Carnies, rickety rides, ALLOT of shouting drunk rednecks, and garbage all over the floor. Great place to teach your kids about pickpocketing, violent inebriation, calories, and dental hygiene.
Food was good. All the big rides were down on Saturday 2nd I paid for 6 wristbands and the kids were very disappointed because of the big rides being down. Spent over $100 in drinks and refills. The 2 guys running the starship had very bad language (cussing) around my kids. Had to tell them to watch their mouths 3 times. The police presence was nice.
Joking aside, it's a fair where people throw garbage on the ground and you wait in lines for hours while carnies drunkenly reflect on their life choices. Also there's that one year a ride operator released the harnesses early on a defunct ride and dropped children stories to the ground.

The people that run the helicopter, an actual helicopter, told me they hate memphis tn, so it upset me, and I told them it upset me, and they called the police because I let other people at the fair know their feelings about me and the other people in our city and they called the police on me, obviously they don't know about my first ammendment rights, and the memphis police officer that responded to there call( his name was payne) but he told me his badge number was 911, and I will be reporting him along with the rest of the people that run the fair, I was not upset until I put my 7 year old p on a ride and the operator of the ride was on his phone the whole time the ride was operating, after ohio, they should be held to a whole nother standard, that they should have been held to in the first place, but especially the people running the actual flying machine with people in it which whom they hate, do not ride the helicopter
So yes, your average fair experience.
The helicopter ride on the Bell 47 was great! The view of the Delta Fair and surrounding area from the air was really cool.
