If you are coming from Arkansas, before you hit Beale, take a stop here and enjoy the view from this side of the river. The center has a lot of information as well if you like to read pamphlets. Just don't touch the statues.
A fun family friendly museum. Exhibits are somewhat dated. It is closed for half the year so be sure to call ahead if you plan to visit in the colder months. There is a tram that takes you from the parking lot to the museum and park, with great views of the bridge.
My boys and I had the best time racing stick boats down the scale model Mississippi. What they have built here is pretty amazing.
Far more interesting than I had expected. It was great seeing a scale model of the Mississippi that gave me an idea of just how large the river is.
Nothing fancy here, but not a bad place to take in the river and relax before heading back to the bars and restaurants. There's a nice little museum here as well.
