The Orpheum Theatre is beautiful! The architecture is amazing and all the details from the carpet to the gold leaf on the ornate ceiling is breathtaking. Check their calendar for special kids shows as well as Hero Days where tickets are only $20! Students, first aid responders, policemen, firemen, nurses, doctors, and teachers are all heroes!
Superb place full of history and talent. Since we moved here we go often and enjoy it. But your tickets in advance but do so at the box office. You will save money instead of purchasing online and will also avoid the mad rush of folks buying before shows. There is a reason this place is always packed.
The Orpheum does a great job of capturing the awe and elegance of the Opera/Theatre. I proposed to my wife on the stage of the Orpheum and have always felt like the staff goes above and beyond to accommodate guests. I would highly recommend catching a show at this iconic Memphis location.
I came all the way from Chicago to see The Nutcracker. Ballet Memphis was fantastic. The theater is gorgeous. The orchestra was magnificent. The theater staff was super friendly and helpful. Parking is just around the corner. I'll definitely be back!
Went to the Orpheum to see Phantom of the Opera. Renovations are underway and the ones that are completed look absolutely gorgeous. The seats are still small with a little less leg room than comfortable, but you forget that once you start getting into the spectacle of the play. The Orpheum has a playbill for each season that usually has at least three plays that I want to see and they also have activities for school children and other activities such as movie Nights for adults. All in all a great place.
