We bought a lift chair at American Home Store on Appling. We bought the insurance. Almost two years ago. I love my chair but I have had problems. Motor went out shortly after buying it. No problem. Part was ordered and a repairman put it in. Everyone has been nice. Recently, Springs have broken in the seat of the chair. I contacted the store and then contacted insurance company to make a claim. A man came out and looked at my chair. He said there are Springs in the seat that you can't see. A few days later, We received a letter saying this is not covered in our policy. The store did the first repair and the insurance we bought for a little over $100 for a $900 chair (I don't have the paper work in front of me) did nothing. Save your money.
My salesman Matt was very knowledgeable. He educated me on the different types of furniture and their construction. I showed pictures of my home and we were able to match wood and fabric. I am very happy with my purchase and how it all looks in my home. The delivery people were fast and efficient.
Had a great experience in store. I was helped by Joe, picked a gorgeous bedroom set. Everything was wonderful. I was told it would be about 2-3 weeks until he furniture would be in and they would call me then to set up delivery. Here it is a month later and I had to call them (because they haven't contacted me since they swiped my card) just to be told it would another month before my entire suite was in. Over two months to deliver a bedroom suite?! And every time I call the store I get a different delivery date, a different account of which of my items they already have in stock...just no consistency. After spending $4900 on furniture, I expected prompt service, but at the bare minimum at least decent customer service and to be kept in the loop. I will never shop here again and will probably be canceling this order.
The check out and pick up experiences were pleasant as well. All departments seemed to be running very smooth.
