Wonderful and friendly staff. Great food! Good variety. Large portions and very flavorful! My boys declared it a keeper and a must stop whenever we are in Memphis.
The first problem right off the bat was that half of the menu was unavailable. I was originally going to order the fried steak; that was shot down immediately due to the lack of food items stated earlier. So, I didn't order anything. We order to go and we waited about 30 minutes. My family ordered turkey necks, greens, black eyed peas and cornbread. They proceed to taste the food and they said it was absolutely terrible. So I tasted it myself. It shouldn't be that bad, right? Wrong, the food didn't even look seasoned at all. My eyes were right; the food wasn't seasoned-- at all. The turkey necks tasted like plastic, the greens were just boiled, and the peas were just boiled also. I didn't even bother to try the cornbread since they put it in the same box as the greens, which makes it soggy. You should know better than to put any bread item with another item that is very moist. At the very least put it in a plastic wrap of some sort. Would not recommend. Honestly would rather eat astronaut food.
Food was great. Our sever was nice and professional. The place looks small on the outside but when you come in it opens up.
Will be back
The mac and cheese was great [could have been cheesier] but the neck bones are enormous!
The tea, fruit punch, and lemonade were good.
The food here is awesome, and everyone is really nice. You should come on Fridays at 6pm to listen to The Sax Lady (Crystal Brown) play. It creates a really good atmosphere.
Horrible service I received on today. I’ve been to this place countless and always receive great service from the older nice woman. But the young so called women that work there are atrocious. Insecure. Nasty attitudes horrible service. No thank you have a nice day. Nothing of the sort. Had to wait 20 minutes for THREE chicken wings that were still prematurely cooked! The manager Robert needs to do a better job at who he hires to work at this establishment. The macaroni was cold. Cheese was hard. Chicken had more grisle than meat and the rolls were hard. I highly doubt I’ll return and I’ll be sure to spread the word on my experience today.
