This man tried to steal my car. We had a car for sale on Auto Trader that he was interested in. We had a payoff amount, and the car was financed through SunTrust. We got him in touch with our personal banker, who helped him with wiring instructions. He never gave this information, and assured us he would bring a certified check. When his drivers get here to pick up the car, we meet at my bank to cash the check, payoff the car, and release the title. He brings a personal check from his bank. A little shady, but we drive across town to cash it. Long story short, there were no funds for the check. This man is a thief and I would warn against doing business with him.
