The only reason I come to Serra is David in the Service dept. I work in Collierville right across from another Chevy dealer. I make time to go to Serra because of the quality service from David. He is very knowledgeable and accommodating for his customers. And now they have Gabby who is also amazing!
I had to come to this place to get the airbag replaced of my 2010 Pontiac vibe which was long due due to company's recall. This was my first visit to Serra Chevrolet. After arriving here, I was told that I'll have to replace break fluid and coolant and it is going to cost me around $280, i agreed for the same as I did not see any issue with that. I was also assured that they are going to do full a inspection of my vehicle and inform me if anything else needed immediate attention/replacement. I got a call after few hours that there is no problem with my car other than coolant and break fluid which they had already told me. I was very happy that my car is in very good condition as I had to go To Atlanta GA on very next day. After receiving my car, as per the plan I went to Atlanta on a family vacation. The car started giving issues when i reached approximately half way to ATLANTA. The issue was with acceleration. The car's engine started giving a strange sound and car lost its speed. After some time it was again OK and we managed to reach our hotel in Atlanta. But I realized the same problem just before i was about to park the car. I also noticed 3 lights on - VSC off, Check Engine, and TRAC. Very next day, I got it checked at EXPRESS OIL and they found issue with car's transmission. I had to leave my car there as they told me it will take more than a week to fix the same due to Christmas and new Year holidays . I left my car there and took a rented car to come back to Memphis. I am paying $1600. 00 for the replacement of transmission and labor. I will have to go back to Atlanta to bring back my ca once it is fixed.

David Lane. He’s the service manager. My daughter has had problems with her car over the past. We hadn’t been able to figure out what it was. I’ve been quite upset with the service department, but David Lane gave me his personal number. We talked about the situation as well as about our kids. I’m at the finish line with my kids and he’s at the start line.
Anyway, point being he’s a great guy. I appreciate his willingness to help us and I’d have anyone going to this dealership to see David if ever there was a problem. His kindness is much appreciated.
Very laid back. Easy, pleasant experience! No pressure. Jerry did everything he could to get me in the Tahoe for what I could pay monthly & he came through. Everyone is was very nice.
This whole thing is very disappointing form me. I don't know why competent service staff of Serra Coverlet could not find the issue and why I was told that everything is good in my car as I specially mentioned them that I have to go to Atlanta on vacation.
