I have been a patient of Dr. Sun's for over 6 years and when I say he saved my life.......he saved my life! To Sarah who reviewed.....I am the one that he walked down the street with. My anxiety level was SO high that day that I just could not sit still. He told me that the walk and fresh air would help and it sure did!! I always waited past my appointment time to see him and never once minded. They would overbook him knowing that he takes his time and does not rush his patients through like an afternoon cattle call. When I called to confirm my appointment for the next day a few months ago imagine my surprise when I was told that he was "NO LONGER WITH THE PRACTICE"!!! When I asked where he went I was told that they "did not know". When I asked what I was supposed to do about the prescriptions that I was due to get the next day I was told that I would have to find another provider!! IN ONE DAY? When I asked about seeing another doctor in the practice to get a one month supply I was told that they WERE NOT TAKING NEW PATIENTS!!! When I said that I have been coming there for 6 years I was once again told that they were not taking new patients and that I would need to find a new provider. Mind you, I would have been out of my medication and it is NOT something you can just quit taking without awful side effects!!! I don't know why Dr. Sun left Healthquest and I do not care. What I do know is that Healthquest left his patients high and dry and did not care what happened to them. By the sheer grace of God, I had another way to contact Dr. Sun and found out that he was going into practice for himself!! His new office is across from the street from Healthquest in the University of Phoenix building. I have already seen him there and it was fantastic!! His new office manager, Ollie, doesn't over book him like before. My appointment was on a Monday at 5:00 and I was done and out by 5:30! I am SO thankful that I found out where he was. If it has been up to Healthquest I would have gone for weeks without my medication. The side effects of going off of them suddenly would have been dangerous!!! I just keep hearing the woman telling me "you will have to find another provider!" They truly did not care what happened to any of Dr. Sun's patients!! When you drive by there now the parking lot is always close to empty. It is easy to see how many people were coming there for Dr. Sun.
Ryan Anderson wrote a review 11mths ago and I can't say it any better. The only reason I saw the review is bc I wish to post a message to someone that might see it, and possibility make a change. Love Dr Sun. I believe he cares for whole health and not just quick fixes. HOWEVER, my wait is usually AT LEAST, two hours past SCHEDULED appt and calling to talk to anybody is near to impossible. If you leave a voicemail, please do not expect a call back from anyone. Actually, it would be less upsetting if that is actually what the voicemail said. I've been trying to talk to medical records for over two weeks. If they do not respond by tomorrow morning, I will not be able to start my new job Monday morning. Quite upsetting to say the least...
The place is ok...Dr's seem nice but the staff who run it is sad. I have been without meds since visit 3weeks ago. Have called numerous times, hung up on, put on hold an no-one comes back get transferred to voicemail, had them answer phone an talk to each other instead of taking phone call guess they thought they muted ph, hung up or transferred already. Currently on hold 19mins 16sec no1 has ever come to phone just music. Ive left several messages an no1 returns calls even after one message I told them i'm gonna end up in jail or hospital if don't get my meds but still no1 cks messages or carss IDK which. Sad sad sad

. You never called my current phycologist. I called all month last month I've left several numbers. What you are doing is malpractice. You need to state you are only a facility for substance abuse. My entire family is in health care and they are all Mds not joke asses you cant pull the wool over my eyes. I have a 24/7 mental heath atrny. Two of them. I know everyone in the mental health system. Google my name. Quit playing games. While I may be a little nutty people know me and my heart . my current phycologist who you never called who I asked you to call already found me a new place. Do the right thing. You cant treat all bi polar people the same and put them all on serequel. And your going to get bad google reviews because your no better than a state run hospital. Luckily I was taught many tools in dealing with this disorder and can do better than some just learning about thr disorder until I get meds. it takes lots of practice that I learned from some great mentours over a great deal of time. Excercize 45 minutes every day is 25 percent of managing bi polar. How am I soposed to go to the gym on serequel? By the way I waited a month before I wrote this bad review. And i am by no means saying this place cnt work for some. Also thr are places worse than this. Allot of mental health clinics private and state rnt going give you goodd care without allot of work. A doctor takes a oath when he gets his licence and it is your duty as a doctor to do the right thing. Im not asking you to give me whatever I want that is ridiculous it takes the Dr and patient. All you had to do is call someone who has Been working with me for 8 months. You dnt even know me that's understandable. But guess what no calls to me or my phycologist. I mean I feel pretty embarased that I have to put this on google. I dnt want any one knowing Im bi polar it adds allot of struggle to life when people judge you because of stigma. What else am I soposed to do. I dnt want any one who is bi polar to get bad care because it is such a complex and delicate incurable disease at this time in history. They have developed a implant that needs more testing but yall are so behind times yall still put people on thorzine probably and if they still did lobotomies I bet yall would do them if tencare paid you to.
***update*** after holding 30 mins still with no1 ever coming to phone, I clicked to my other line an called again to make appt---got voicemail after holding 3mins there so I left maybe an ugly message an told them I was still holding for medical records. 2mins later medical records answers the line women talking in background again & they actually hung up on me without saying one word. Smfh, now I can understand why folks have been in the office going off on them. They overbook Dr's to rake n money but refuse to assist you outside of your appt.
