The program and staff were educational, informative, insightful, and patients-oriented. They helped me tremendously; made me feel welcomed, and boosted me up when I was giving up. Labels and stereotypes were not permitted or true.
Worst treatment facility I have ever been to. The old counselor lady is rude and doesn't allow others to finish what they are saying. It takes more than 5 minutes to get help. Incompetent bunch of so-called professionals. They "warehouse" patients just for the money. They give out tons of handouts and read from them. Wow! shows they can read. So can I. That's not therapy. I went somewhere else and had much better success and were a lot friendlier and professional!!!
As a clinician in the Memphis community for 20 years, Mental Health Resources was always my first choice for clients struggling with acute mental health challenges. Ed Wise and his staff are excellent and innovative with their approach to both mental health and substance abuse. I highly recommend Mental health Resources as the top outpatient program in Memphis!
I am so glad that I did this. I had hit a very difficult time in my life and I just couldn't seem to get over the hump. I was sleeping all day and drinking all night. My family finally confronted me and sent me to MHR. After the 6-week program, I feel like a brand new person. I'm more clear headed, confident, and happier than I've been in years. I feel like my old self and now know that the past will not define my future. The staff there are very understanding, knowledgeable, and supportive. They have given me the tools to get myself back on my feet and I feel that I have a bright future.
This center severely helped me with my depression, anxiety and my eating disorder. I was in desperate need of help, and the time line worked perfectly with my winter break! The staff was fantastic, and was well worth the money and the twenty minute drive to get here. If i ever needed to, I would go back in a heart beat. The staff worked with me so that I was able to recover, and am still in recovery!
