The lasik was fine. No problems there. But they sent in the wrong paperwork to care credit and i am out now over $1000. Care Credit said that since the wrong paperwork was sent in by the provider, that the provider had to fix the problem. I was supposed to have 2 yrs interest free but Southern Eye sent a 1 yr interest free into Care Credit. This paperwork was not signed by me. I have been patiently trying to work with Southern Eye for the past year since the interest hit my account. First with Kathy, then with Cortney McCluney, and finally with William Sanvee. They pushed me off over and over and over again because they were going through a merger. When William Sanvee(the administrator) finally contacted Care Credit, care credit said that since it had been over a year there was nothing they could do-keep in mind i had been trying to get it fixed for the past year. And now Southern Eye refuses to fix the problem they made and refuses to refund me any of the extra interest money it has cost me. Time to move on to lawyers. Watch out, because they severly mishandled my money
My mother had routine cataract surgery on her right eye. When she woke up her vision was cloudy. Her vision now is worse than it was before the surgery, after approximately six weeks. The doctor told her that it wasn't due to the surgery. She said it would have happened anyway. It is just a coincidence that she all of a sudden developed a spider web in front of her right eye, immediately following the cataract surgery. Good luck with these "Christian" people. You go to them at your own risk.
I had refractive lens surgery from my first exam I had wonderful experience. Me and my doctor decided what would be the best lens for me. The doctors and the staff was wonderful. I can see at distance my computer and reading I highly recommend southerneye and Dr Schanzer to anyone that is ready to see with out contacts or glasses.
Absolutely phenomenal! Went in with -2.75 in my left eye, -3.25 in my right. After my LASIK procedure performed by the amazing Dr. Schanzer, I now have 20/20 vision! What a blessing! Highly highly highly recommend anyone who is wanting to pursue LASIK to come to Southern Eye Memphis.
Southern eye is very professional and they did a great job correcting my vision. However, if you are looking for a personal experience you will not find it here. They are understaffed and have too many patients to give enough attention to all of them. Scheduling appointments takes multiple phone calls and nothing happens on time. You will receive the proper care but it will not be timely.
