I was an Employee there. I was terminated 07/04/17 by the New General Manager. GM/Ms.Keisha she has constantly found faults on my work only me.Since she's been there and that hasn't even been 4 weeks to a month. I've been there since 7/4/17 and I Do My Job To The Best Of My Ability. I Just Feel That Wasn't Right Finding Whatever Faults On Just Me Not Any One Else..... I Think She Needs Termination Cause Nothing Has Changed Since She Has Been There For Her To Know What She's Doing. Extended Stay America Airport Area Also Has Car Break-Ins Really Bad Word For The Wise Cause There's Nothing They Can Do About It...
Nice place, staff was friendly. Room was clean . I would love to give it a 5 but reservations were different than what I received. Having said that it wasn't made by staff on hand . The employees at the hotel were wonderful
I guess the saying is true, "You get what you pay for!". I stayed two nights in this hotel this past weekend (Dec. 16 - 18). After the first night, I just happened to glance up and catch something crawling up the wall out of the corner of my eye. Now, I know they say we are in the "dirty south" but being from the north (Michigan) we don't get bugs the size of pets. This (man eating) cockroach was huge. I called down to the front desk to see if I could have someone come up and remove the bug. I was told by the front staff, "we don't kill bugs. We will find you another room within the hour." Well, an hour passed and no word from the front desk. I flagged down a cleaning woman in the lobby and asked her if she had bug spray on her cart. I asked her to come to my room. She stated she didn't have any bug spray. I proceeded to show her the issue I was having. She tells me, "that's a cockroach, we have them in the south." To which I replied, "that's fine, I'm from the north we don't get bugs this big." I asked her if she could take care of it. She tells me, "I don't do bugs, but I'll get you a broom." Huh! What! Wait! I'm not on the clock and am not getting paid by this hotel. If you know you have cockroaches, why don't you keep bug spray. I go downstairs to the front desk, after packing up my belonging and piling everything in the middle of the bed (I definitely didn't want to risk taking this thing home with me) I explain to the front desk worker what was going on and tell her about my interaction with her staff. I ask them if there is another room I can move into or if they can come take care of the bug. Finally, one of the ladies comes up to my room, takes the floor towel and wastebasket out of my bathroom swats the cockroach from the curtains and then proceeds to stomp around trying to kill it.
I don't know if I could in good faith recommend this hotel to anyone or stay there again. I think my experience was way too overwhelming.
Rooms are great! They were nice and clean and the entire building is smoke free. My experience however was a nightmare. First they booked my reservation for the wrong day when i called their customer service number, then when i arrived to check in at 5am i was told i would still have to check out by 11am. So i paid 90 bucks to sleep for six hours. I ended up sleeping past check out and woke up to a clerk standing over me screaming she was about to call the police if i didnt get out or pay more money. I checked out right away and will never stay there again.
Although this hotel was not bad for the money, there is NO breakfast other than coffee (which if it runs out before breakfast is over doesn't get refilled), oatmeal packets, and I think that was all I saw. The front desk staff told me that breakfast was literally "grab and go" style, but that was pitiful.
Booked ahead, joined rewards program. Asked ahead at booking for ground floor, smoke free room, extra pillows, and coffee maker. At check in, room had 2 pillows on both beds, 2 towels(4 Adults in room), NO Washcloths, no coffee maker, and a pile of cigarette butts on the floor next to bed, and on 2nd floor!! Called down for pillows and towels...no towels available!!! REALLY!!??? WAS told pillows would be right up. An hour and 1/2 later NOTHING!! PRETTY IMPRESSIVE!!! *photo Ashes on bed and cigarette butts by bed* only good in this was the lady at Booking center was a delight to chat with. Staff at location was useless.
