I stayed here the first and third week of July, 2017. The second stay was $23 more per night than the first, so know that rates vary. The first stay had few people booked in the hotel and I stayed on a higher floor.
If you book online using AAA discount you don't get breakfast. Hey Management, that's not a travelers discount, that's cutting perks. If you want to play those games that's fine. There are many other hotels who appreciate customers.
I checked my room out thoroughly and all seemed unused and no one else was in there. I then went down to the desk to get a newspaper and let the front desk know the other rooms were all open on the floor. The hotel employee seemed unconcerned and said that probably housekeeping just forgot to go back and close them. No one was called to close them, nor was there any concern expressed. I wasn't concerned for my own safety but thought about a female traveler who arrived as late as I did to find them all open.
Staff is friendly and helpful, maids do a nice job of cleaning the rooms, kem's puts out good food. My room is always clean. I stay here for business about 2x a year.
On my second visit two weeks later, the hotel seemed full and the doors were not ajar on the lower floor I stayed on. On both trips the room, linens and towels were clean and the staff was very friendly. Overall, I enjoyed both stays and would stay again. Being so close to shopping and able to get to the Mall using back roads would make this a good place to resupply on long road trips. Parking is well-lit at the back of the hotel and there are external security cameras.
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Acceptable wifi. On site restaurant and bar provided easy food and drink for tired travelers. Close proximity to shopping centers, other restaurants and the highway.
I like higher floors away from elevators but on the first stay I noticed my room and all the other rooms on the floor had the doors open, as a result of the privacy latch holding them open. It was done in the same way housekeeping holds them open when cleaning rooms.
We arrived early in the day to Memphis after a delay due to an injury suffered in the airport and spending the night in an emergency room in Atlanta. Our reservation at another hotel was not honored. Holiday Inn gave us a room for the day at 11 in the morning allowing us the comfort of getting cleaned up before our appointment. The staff was professional and friendly and the bed was super comfortable. Everything was clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this hotel!
